Birth & Postpartum Doula Support

Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period bring change, questions, decisions, and often a mix of emotions. Families deserve support that helps them feel informed, prepared, respected, and cared for throughout the experience.
Through community-based birth and postpartum doula support, I provide education, emotional support, advocacy, and a steady presence as families prepare for birth and adjust to life with a new baby. Care is centered on informed choice, individual needs, and helping parents feel more confident in their voices and decisions.
Because every family deserves to enter this new chapter feeling supported, informed, and empowered.

GROUP EDUCATION & DIGITAL RESOURCES
Preparing for birth and early parenthood often comes with a lot of questions. Having access to clear, trustworthy information can make the journey feel less overwhelming.
Group education and digital resources offer accessible ways for expectant and new parents to learn, prepare, and build confidence at their own pace or alongside others. Topics may include prenatal preparation, birth, postpartum recovery, emotional wellness, newborn care, self-advocacy, and adjusting to life with a new baby.
These offerings are open to the community and provide another way for families to access education and support, whether or not they are receiving individual doula care.

CHOOSING A DOULA
Choosing a doula is personal. More than finding someone with the right training, it's about finding someone whose presence feels comfortable, whose approach aligns with your values, and who helps you feel heard, respected, and confident in your choices.
A doula should help you understand your options, prepare for what lies ahead, ask questions, communicate your preferences, and feel supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. For many women, particularly women of color, having support that is culturally aware and responsive to lived experience can be especially meaningful.
As a community-based doula, I approach this work with respect for your voice, your family, your culture, and the choices you make for yourself and your baby. My role isn't to make decisions for you or tell you what your birth experience should look like. My role is to help you feel informed enough to make your own decisions and supported enough to use your voice.
And support doesn't end when the baby arrives. The postpartum period brings its own physical, emotional, and family transitions. Having someone who can offer reassurance, education, resources, and a listening ear can make those early weeks feel a little less overwhelming.
You don't need a “perfect” birth or postpartum experience. You deserve one in which you feel informed, respected, and supported.
